Dear Senator Reid, I stand with Sen. Bill Nelson in opposing an energy bill that includes expanded offshore drilling in Florida's waters. Offshore drilling is the fool's gold of American energy policy. It's a shame that our leaders have let this false solution distract them when they should be leading the transition to a cleaner, greener economy. We can power our lives, create high-paying jobs and solve our energy crises without having to resort to dirty and outdated offshore drilling. And when you consider the risk more drilling poses to Florida's coastal ecology and economic engine, it's clear that drilling has no part in a better energy future for all of us. Please keep offshore drilling out of the Senate energy bill!
