Save the Everglades

Pollution from large ranches and farms spurs algal blooms and invasive plant growth in Lake Okeechobee and the rest of the Everglades, but large agricultural operations have successfully fought the implementation of state efforts to restore these waters. It's time to tell the EPA to institute pollution limits and new rules to curb runoff from development.

Program

Save Florida's Shores

In 1990, the Florida Legislature banned drilling off our world-famous coastline. Now, as some leaders in Tallahassee begin to waver, we're calling on our legislators to maintain — and strengthen — that promise.

Program

Repower Florida with Clean Energy

Here in the Sunshine State, where solar energy could power a half-million homes, too much of our energy comes from dirty sources that harm our environment. But by tapping the power of the sun (and using less energy in the first place!) we can repower our lives with clean energy that doesn’t pollute and never runs out.

Program

Get Florida Off Oil

The environmental costs of our oil dependence are out of control — from the accidents and spills, to smog, to climate change. It's time to set this country on a path to getting off oil for good. We can get there by convincing our leaders to make new investments in fuel-efficient cars, new technology, and a first-class system of public transportation.

Program

Florida Forever

As state leaders let key preservation funds run dry, a million acres of priceless land — from the Green Swamp to Wakulla Springs — hangs in the balance.
